St. David's Episcopal Church
An inclusive church and welcoming community, growing in Christ and offering all seekers spiritual nourishment for the journey.

Acolytes

St. Davids' acolytes serve at the 10:00 AM service on Sundays, and at special services. They light the altar area with candles, lift the cross (and sometimes flags and banners) high in processions, reverently hold the Gospel book for the reader, assist with offerings, assist the celebrant with the communion vessels, and offer a steadying hand at the side aisle steps during communion. Their work lends a dignity and grace to our worship services.

This ministry is currently performed by the youth of our parish in grades 3 through 12. Adults may also serve as acolytes. William Breckenridge is our acolyte leader.

Would you like to be an acolyte, or do you have a child who would like to be one? Call the office or send an e-mail message.
