St. David's mission and core values

The mission of St. David’s is to be an inclusive church and a welcoming community growing in Christ and offering all seekers spiritual nourishment for the journey. Our vision is guided by our commitment to four principle values:

Celebration
We celebrate God whose glory is reflected in all of creation through our lives and in our worship. Our diverse and creative worship life emphasizes how we can bless and be a blessing to others and flows from the communion table to our many other communal feasts.

Hospitality

We welcome all to the communion table and into our fellowship including children, seekers and those whom others might neglect or reject. Walking the path of Jesus, we also respect the faith and practice of others. We value our relationships with one another and enjoy working and playing together, offering gatherings for all ages.

Exploration

We invite active participation in our faith formation programs which we offer for all ages. While treasuring our rich tradition, we believe that the Spirit continues to speak in diverse ways and are open to what reason, science and the arts have to offer us. We seek to offer a safe place for the expression of personal spiritual practices, ideas, questions, doubts -- and faith.

Compassion
Building relationships is at the heart of all we do. We offer active caring ministries especially during times of life transitions. Working with our national church we support efforts to end global poverty and we are active in our local community, serving and promoting a variety of social justice ministries. Through our encouragement of the faithful practice of stewardship, we seek to use our gifts to serve God's world.
