They're a Class A minor league team, a farm team of the Texas Rangers since 2003, and the 2005 Northwest League champions. The Indians play their home games at Avista Stadium on the Spokane County Fair Grounds.
MUFFIN SUNDAY & COFFEE HOUR
Muffin Sunday -- On the first Sunday of each month, immediately after the 8:00 Sunday service, coffee and muffins are served in the parish hall (below the church).
Coffee Hour -- Every Sunday, immediately after the 10:00 Sunday service, coffee, tea, and assorted refreshments are served. During the summer, we have lighter refreshments -- cookies, coffee and lemonade.
These are great times to take a few minutes and get to know someone new! Volunteers to host coffee hour and Muffin Sunday are always welcome -- see the sign-up sheets at the Communication Center, in the hallway between the church and the offices.

DINNER-FOR-EIGHT
Dinner-for-Eight is a informal function that has operated at St. David's for many years. It's a great way to get to know people, in small groups, for one evening a month. Singles and couples are all welcome!
Here's how it works. Dinner-for-Eight runs from fall through spring. Each fall, those who are interested in participating that year sign up. A kick-off dinner is held, with everyone attending. There is also a dinner at Christmas time, and a final one in the spring, that the whole group attends. During the other months, participants gather once a month for dinner at each other's homes, in groups of eight. A schedule is set up in the fall, so each month the groups change. The food assignments change, too: the host chooses the date for dinner and provides the entree; others bring salad, vegetables, or dessert.
There are always alternates needed to fill in for those who cannot make it on a particular night, so it's OK to sign up in the middle of the year. If you have questions, just see Betty Hartman.
LENTEN SOUP SUPPERS
On Wednesday evenings during Lent (the several weeks between Ash Wednesday and Easter) St. David's offers soup suppers. The menu is simple -- just soup, salad and bread -- as a reminder of those who have less than we do. Before supper there is opportunity to attend Eucharist. After supper there is a program, with topics varying from year to year.
For Lent 2008, the program was a series titled "Images for Spiritual Renewal," a visual presentation by Chris Baskin of the Whitworth University art faculty. Free-will donations were accepted each week, and were given to Meals on Wheels, a local agency that delivers meals to the housebound.
