Sunday morning programs for children

Childcare
is offered on Sunday mornings from 8:45 through noon in Noah's Nursery at the west end of the upstairs hallway. Parents may opt to have their children cared for while they attend either the early or late service, or they are welcome to have their children attend worship with them. It is also an option to have children cared for during a portion of the service. Caregivers will also attend to children during the education and coffee hour between services at 10:00 a.m. If you have questions about our childcare program please speak with Katie McDaris or one of the clergy.

Sunday School for children is offered at 10:00 a.m. and is designed for families who attend either service. Katie McDaris is the organizer and lead teacher and is always looking for help. If you can volunteer, please speak with her. The class begins in the Explorer’s Room at the west end of the downstairs hallway at 10:00 a.m. A snack is included.

Being an acolyte is one way children can be involved in the liturgical ministry of St. David’s. Acolytes are scheduled at the 9:00 a.m. service. Children seven years old and older are invited to be trained. If your child is interested, contact Jessica Basta or the church office.   While the 11:00 a.m. service does not have acolytes, the liturgy will include special roles for children from time to time.

Sunday afternoon programs for children

Children’s Youth Group (CYG) gatherings are held monthly on a Sunday, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The theme and activities vary -- see the Events and Announcements page, or contact Mary Basta, for more information.

Church To Go: Bringing Faith Home is an intergenerational program for families with children which meets once a month on Sunday evenings at St. David's. The program features a Christian education component, a hands on arts and craft project, worship and dinner. It is called Church To Go, because take home activities for families to continue the formation process at home are included.
Families are welcome to invite other family friends or their children to attend. An evening meal is also provided.  Leaders are Mother Elaine, Mary Basta, Barbara Gronberg and Jennifer Catterson, who is the Director of Religious Education at Fairchild AFB.   While there is no charge for the program, an offering is taken.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for each monthly session so that we can be good stewards of our resources and planning. Registration forms can be found at the Communication Center or you may contact the church office to register. 466-3100. If you know of a family who would like to be on the email contact list, please have them email the church office.
  • January 8 (note this is the 2nd Sunday, not the 1st) -- “Are you listening? Listening to God and one another.”  Registration deadline is January 3.
  • February  --  Church to Go will not be held this month due to scheduling conflicts. We will resume the first Sunday in March.
Future Church To Go dates:  March 4, April 1, May 6, June 3.

Rite 13 program and confirmation classes
are offered by request.  Information about diocesan youth activities for teenagers is also available. Contact Mother Elaine at the church office,  466-3100, or by email.
